Yet another magical surprise growing in the garden! I only wish that I could share the aroma of this stunning beauty with you; honestly, I’m obsessed with sniffing it and have a pollen tip nose to prove it. The whole area where these vines wrap around trees and bush smells absolutely divine, and it looks like something straight out of a Dr. Suess storybook.
We were visited by a couple of wood storks this morning; they’re the second tallest bird in Costa Rica! They can reach 3.3 ft tall and have a wingspan of 4.9 to 5.8 ft. They live an average of 11 to 18 years. Apparently, they’re a common sight in CR, but in over a year of living here this was my first time seeing them.
