A kind message from the shore…

We found these shells and rocks one morning while walking along the beach. :)

A Night of Dance at Monterey Del Mar

“There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them!”
― Vicki Baum

Ivan is a regular guest speaker at a real estate workshop held at the Monterey Del Mar hotel in Esterillos Este.  On one of the evenings we are all invited to enjoy a night of dance hosted by a group of traditional Costa Rican dancers.  It’s always amazing to watch the show as this talented group sweat the night away giving their all on the dance floor for our viewing pleasure.  This time we were privileged with a surprise performance by the son of our hostess, just five years old, singing a traditional Mexican song with an incredible amount of passion and spirit!   He was a natural; and I was teary eyed for the entire song, of course.

At the end of the show we are all invited on to join them on the floor to learn some simple Latin dance moves, and thanks to the ease of modern technology, we were all up on YouTube somewhere between Salsa and Merengue.

The Water Boy

So you all thought I was crazy when I said he was a water baby, huh?  What with all the screaming while bathing, and insisting of his clothing to be changed and his body dried if a single drop of H2O hit him for the first two years of life.  Heh.  What you didn’t know (and frankly, neither did I) was that all he needed was a perfectly warm infinity pool in one of the most gorgeous areas of one of the most beautiful countries in the world!  duh.

Now if I could only convince him that swim shorts were meant to get wet……
